Little Changes - Do we notice?
How much do you pay attention to the little things in your life? This can range from attitude, joy, friendships, the Love of your life, and even your own spiritual walk with God. It can encompass all areas of your life. The being unaware of changes going on around us may be so small that we pay no attention to them at all. But this can be a very subtle attackof the enemy and you may not notice until it becomes larger than life. Forexample: You may have put on 1-5 lbs over a period of moths or ever longerand not given a thought to how much junk food you have given in to or howmuch of your daily or weekend exercise routine you have been to busy tomaintain. You may not be spending quality time in the Lord of God becauseyou tell yourself "I don't have time today". You may have not kissed yourhusband/wife/kids goodbye today because your were running lat or still a bit miffed over a silly argument. You may not have made fun time with yourbest friends a priority because there were so many things that got in theway. And on and on the scenarios go. So the point is: These things inthemselves may seem small but they desensitized you to the important things around you and over a period of time they became enormous in size.
Weight gain, if left go week after week, month after month can become 20+lbs over your norm but if you would have noticed or paid attention to details, when you gained 5 lbs it would have been easier to get back ontrack. It’s the same with exercise, a daily 30 minutes is not that big ofa deal but let it go and it affects so many areas in your life and healthand attitude. Time in the Word neglected will change everything in your life and not for the good. Satan will cause you to make one small compromise after another 'til you no longer even look at sin as sin. It'sthe little things that we don't notice that cause many downfalls in ourlives. One good-bye kiss to your spouse or kids doesn't seem big in itself but repeatedly not making it a priority can cause changes in whatis the most important relationship in your life. It's the little changesthat we don't even notice. But it's the little things that make the difference in where our lives end up.
1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
